On Last Mile Warehouses

Last Mile Warehouses around the city and in CB6’s Red Hook neighborhood inequitably burden residents of those neighborhoods with increased truck traffic, noise and air pollution, and threatened pedestrian safety–all without providing the jobs/sqft that a traditional warehouse would. CB6 has voted to reduce truck traffic and has called for DOT truck studies. CB6 has additionally advocated for DCP to remove as-of-right zoning for last mile warehouses.
