The Red Hook Conservancy conserves, protects, and supports vibrant parks and recreational spaces for the enjoyment of the Red Hook, Brooklyn community. It was founded as Friends of Red Hook Recreation Center in 2011 to support the interest and well-being of the Red Hook Recreation Center members and, by extension, the facility itself. This work widened their aims, including conserving, protecting, and advocating for 16 parks and open and recreational spaces in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
