- Committee Updates & Recap Recap of last meeting (Doug on 5th Ave BID; Tony on Bergen St. safety/Flatbush bus redesign). Tony to summarize recent actions: letter to MTA supporting signals/daylighting on Columbia St. Waterfront; resolution supporting Intro 1380 (Ride Safe Right Right bill) and 20mph citywide bike/micromobility speed limit.
- CB6 Slow Zone Resolution Kevin LaCherra (Make McGuinness Safe) to present slides proposing CB6 request DOT designate the district a Slow Zone (20 MPH) under Sammy’s Law. CB1 and Queens CB2 have passed similar resolutions. Discussion, public comment, and possible vote.
- MTA Guest: Megan Flynn MTA updates, plus committee requests for follow-up: status of Flatbush B41 bus plan (including advocate proposals to swap B45/B63 routes and add raised boarding platforms); R train weekend frequency (per Sen. Gounardes and advocates). Community Q&A.
- Street Safety Form Analysis: Alan Mukamal to present preliminary findings from the Street Safety Issue Report submissions.
- Future Business: Invite DOT rep to discuss daylighting, loading zones, slow zones, safety form priorities, and northbound protected bike route options. Revisitthe low-traffic neighborhoods proposal. Open suggestions.
