SUMMARY:Monthly Meeting + Paddle
DESCRIPTION:Socialize with the Dredgers at our BUNKER (2 19th St\, off of 3rd Ave) for a casual member catch-up and paddle! We’ll gather at 6:30 for some chatting and aim to be on-water around 7:15. Meet at the Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club 19th St. Launch\, 2 19 St\, Brooklyn\, (off of 3rd Ave.). If you plan to join the paddle\, wear sunscreen and bring a bottle filled with water. Close-toed shoes are recommended\, and wear clothing you don’t mind potentially being splashed. Use a restroom before arrival\, as we have limited facilities on-site. All paddlers must sign a waiver. Weather (wind\, waves or evidence of storm) may cancel the paddling portion with one hour advance notice. In case of inclement weather\, meeting will be relocated follow us on Instagram or sign up for our mailing list to stay informed.

SUMMARY:Sexual Health Mobile Medical Unit
DESCRIPTION:Prospect Park Alliance is collaborating with NewYork-Presbyterian to offer comprehensive sexual health services in Brooklyn’s backyard at Grand Army Plaza every Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm and every Monday at the Parkside + Ocean Avenue Entrance from 10 am to 3 pm. The NewYork-Presbyterian Sexual Health Mobile Medical Unit is a safe\, inclusive space for people to receive high-quality sexual health services. Learn more about the Sexual Health Mobile Medical Unit in Prospect Park or reach out to us at mobilehealth@nyp.org or (929) 923-3543. No insurance or ID is required to receive care. Staffed by a team of NewYork-Presbyterian healthcare providers\, the mobile medical unit has an exam room and consult room\, and offers routine laboratory testing\, vaccinations\, and PrEP and PEP medications that lower the risk of HIV infection. Patients can also be connected to social services\, benefits enrollment\, and local healthcare providers. Other services include sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing\, family planning\, hepatitis C screening\, health education and more. The Lake and Lullwater are home to many plants and animals. Help us to test the water quality and investigate pond samples that are filled with living organisms. Gain hands-on experience in citizen science as we explore the Prospect Park environment and witness how changing temperatures affect the trees.
